Hunting is still considered an environmentally-friendly practice all over the world and even used by some local administrations to keep wildlife in check and safeguard the habitat. While all of this seems unrelated to bread, this project explores the paradox between the heavily processed but constantly available foods, mainly related to carbs, and the loss of contact with naturally sourced foods through hunting and gathering, especially in certain parts of Europe. Arranged as a pop-up shooting game, where the participants could use a crossbow to shoot breadsticks at bread-targets, this project questions if it would still be sustainable to practice an archaic form of living such as the hunter/gatherer, and if the food that we consume on a daily basis is really beneficial for us.
